Advanced Kitchen Fire Protection Seminar
In New Jersey

Elizabeth, NJ
Oct 6, 2010

As previewed in Firewatch! and our 2009 conferences, NAFED brings you the Advanced Kitchen Fire Protection seminar to take your technicians beyond the tank and nozzles of kitchen systems.

This seminar deals with specific areas of NFPA 17A and 96 to provide a detailed visual and audio presentation on the problems and solutions faced by the kitchen fire extinguishing systems technician. You'll see first-hand visual substantiation of deficiencies encountered daily by systems technicians when they service commercial kitchen systems and also see evidence of proper kitchen installations.

This program is not designed to make the extinguishing system technician an expert in hood and duct construction and cleanliness, nor is it designed to make the extinguishing system technician an expert on kitchen appliances. The purpose of the seminar is to show obvious areas of concern that could affect the extinguishing system's effectiveness.

This seminar is a valuable training tool for the experienced and newer systems technician and provides an opportunity for 8 Education Credits for renewal of the Pre-Engineered Kitchen Fire Extinguishing Systems Technician Certification. Although it is not a requirement, it's suggested that attendees bring a copy of the 2009 Edition of NFPA 17A and the 2008 Edition of NFPA 96.
