NAFED University Coming This Fall

NAFED is pleased to announce the inception of NAFED University! Following months of planning by the training planning committee, the University will open its doors in October 2014, offering 3-day introductory classes and 2-day advanced classes in a state-of-the-art facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Learn more in the upcoming issue of Firewatch! and keep an eye on NAFED's website for more information on the classes offered, schedule, and fees.

Use Every Advantage

Special business enterprise certification such as woman-owned enterprise or minority-owned enterprise can offer businesses access to otherwise hard-to-win government contracts. It can also help your company stand out from the crowd. Read about one NAFED member's experience with obtaining woman-owned enterprise status in this latest blog post.

Plan Your Fire Prevention Week

The NFPA has some great suggestions for how to plan a Fire Prevention Week event. Fire Prevention Week (October 5-11) is the perfect opportunity to get your company out in the community, sharing expertise on what you know best. We know many NAFED members regularly plan events, and we'd love to hear about it. Feel free to email tamaram@nafed.org and share what you are doing this year.
